  I recreated this by using a different flower. I used my kitchen table because it was close to the
wood in the original picure. I changed the color picture to black and white. I made the flower look
further then the original.

Education?:  Adam boke his nose during an after shock earth quake, people made fun of him, and he only had a few friends. He was dismissed from many schools. His father and aunt tutored him at home.

Upbringing?:  He was born in Western Addition of San Francisco, California. He was an only child.

Did your artists work in other artistic Mediums (paint, clay etc?)

No, but Ansel Adams also worked with music.

Why is he or she a photographer?

Ansel adams became playing the piano at twelve years old, he gave up music and became a photographer. His father gave him a camera during

Vacation and he took his first photographs.

What inspires his/her work?

His father giving him a camera inspired his work. He returned to places he went to in the past and tries to take better pictures.

Why did you select this image?

I selected this picture because I enjoy taking pictures of flowers, and I think it’d be fun to re-create this image.

How would you describe your photographers style? (in your own words)

Adam Ansel’s photography style of black and white interests me because he puts a lot of work into it.

After researching the photographer what have you found most interesting about his/her photographic style or image production?

The most interesting facts I found out were about his life and how he gave up music for photography.

How are you planning to recreate your photographers image?

I plan on recreating this by trying to copy the original picture but add other things to make it a little different.

What images do you anticipate taking to recreated this image? (i.e. describe the shots you intend to take to reach your final goal)

I am going to take a variety of photographs in black and white of the flowers then decide which one I like the best.

The name of the tutorial I found was called English Tea can or china painting effect. I found it off photoshopcafe.com. I thought the picture turned out okay for a painting effect.

Aperture is a function of a camera that allows the lens to collect light. It is the diameter of the lens that opens and is being controlled by the iris. The larger the diameter, the larger light reaches the film. It is being measured in 'f-stops'.

Shutter speed is when the shutter opens and allows light to fall through the lens, which reaches to the sensor. The longer the shutter speed stays open, the more light will be transmitted through the lens. If it is sunny outside, you would use a much shorter shutter speed. Mostly all cameras can automatically adjust to this speed. Shutter speed is measured in seconds.

My camera can't use the aperture and shutter speed mode.

This photo appeals to me because I love the color pink and enjoy taking pictures of flowers. I located this photo off of Flickr.com. I would like to recreate this effect because flowers are pretty much anywhere,easy to take pictures of, and the pictures always turn out beautiful.

I really like this picture because i like the beach and the sunset. The beach is one of my favorite places to go to. The picture really stands out to me because the sunset makes the people standing there look even better. I found this off Google.com. I would love to take a picture like this next time i go to the beach.

I really love looking at any photography pictures of christmas lights. I think it looks pretty. It stands out to me because the christmas ornament is close and clear, it really made the christmas lights turn out nice.
