Education?:  Adam boke his nose during an after shock earth quake, people made fun of him, and he only had a few friends. He was dismissed from many schools. His father and aunt tutored him at home.

Upbringing?:  He was born in Western Addition of San Francisco, California. He was an only child.
Art experience?: Photography

Artistic Background:

Did your artists work in other artistic Mediums (paint, clay etc?)

No, but Ansel Adams also worked with music.


Why is he or she a photographer?

Ansel adams became playing the piano at twelve years old, he gave up music and became a photographer. His father gave him a camera during

Vacation and he took his first photographs.

What inspires his/her work?

His father giving him a camera inspired his work. He returned to places he went to in the past and tries to take better pictures.


Has your artists encountered any hardships or successes in his or her life that are directly reflected in their work?

Why did you select this image?

I selected this picture because I enjoy taking pictures of flowers, and I think it’d be fun to re-create this image.



How would you describe your photographers style? (in your own words)
Adam Ansel’s photography style of black and white interests me because he puts a lot of work into it.

After researching the photographer what have you found most interesting about his/her photographic style or image production?
The most interesting facts I found out were about his life and how he gave up music for photography.

How are you planning to recreate your photographers image?

I plan on recreating this by trying to copy the original picture but add other things to make it a little different.


What images do you anticipate taking to recreated this image? (i.e. describe the shots you intend to take to reach your final goal)
I am going to take a variety of photographs in black and white of the flowers then decide which one I like the best.
